As soon as the news of Krishna Raj Kapoor’s demise spread, B-Town expressed grief and rushed to the Kapoors' Chembur residence upon hearing the unfortunate news. The funeral took place on the evening of October 1, and was attended by Sonam Kapoor, Farah Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, Sanjay Dutt and others.

While Kareena, Karisma, Randhir and Babita were present for the last rites that took place at the Chembur crematorium, Rishi Kapoor who is currently in America with wife Neetu Kapoor for his treatment, could not make it for the funeral.
